Run Banking and DRM Protected Apps in Rooted Android Phone

Banking Apps are only running on Non-Rooted Android phones. When you root the phone and install Banking Apps then it doesn’t run. Banking Apps doesn’t run on the rooted phone because SafetyNet of an Android OS is compromised.

SafetyNet provides an API that apps could use to see if the AVB (Android verified Boot) had been bypassed, if a device had been tempered then SafetyNet could inform the issue, then apps could simply refuse to run.

Rooted users have access to their device’s whole file system, which means they can do anything with files. SafetyNet checks that the device is rooted in almost all cases, and it can report to apps so banking apps and DRM protected apps don’t run and refuse to run.

Now Google allows developers to hide their apps on the Play Store if SafetyNet of an Android phone is compromised.

For example, my Samsung j2 phone is rooted. When I search Netflix on Play Store it doesn’t show Netflix on Play Store.

So the solution is Magisk. Magisk manager allows you to run these apps with root access enabled. Magisk manager also provides modules facility to flash and enable any module just like Xposed modules but Xposed modules don’t work on Magisk modules. I will make different post and video for best Magisk module for your phone.

Download the Magisk manager apk and Magisk zip file and flash it via custom recovery (like TWRP, PitchBlack).

After flashing zip file install Magisk manager and open it.

It will look like this:

Click on Tap to start SafetyNet check

It will check and show the result.

If it shows ctsProfile: true and basicIntegrity: true then you can install Banking and DRM protected apps on your phone.

After downloading any banking app go to Magisk Hide option from the left side menu and tick mark the application that you want to run.

That’s it. Now you can run any apps on your phone using this Magisk module.

Note: Google Pay, PhonePe, BHIM, and Netflix these are working perfectly. mAadhar app is not working.
