SOC (System on a chip) is the main component in all smartphones. Last year in December 2018, Qualcomm announced its latest new processor Snapdragon 855 the successor of Snapdragon 845. Nowadays all chip manufacturers focus on AI, Gaming, and Camera. In this blog, I will be talking about new improvements in Gaming, Connectivity, AI, Entertainment and Camera departments.

Qualcomm is trying to beat Apple’s A12 bionic because last Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 was beaten by Apple’s A12 bionic and A11 chips

SD 855 is an Octa-core processor. It built on the 7nm process. It Supports up to 16GB RAM.

It is the processor that’s going to be the heart of an Android Flagship Phones like Pixel, OnePlus, Xiaomi and Samsung.

Pixel 4, OnePlus 7 & 7T, Samsung Galaxy S10 and Note 10 should come with SD 855.

Connectivity

IT supports 5G. For 5G Qualcomm’s X50 modem is used. By default, 5G is not Supported because it comes with internal modem X24 which gives a 4G speed up to 2Gbps which is World’s First 2Gbps LTE modem.
