How to Unlock Bootloader of Realme 2 Pro

Realme 2 Pro was launched in October 2018. It is a very popular smartphone of Realme brand. It is a very good smartphone but users and Developers requesting bootloader unlock because they want to install custom ROMs. So Realme promised that bootloader unlock will start from 15^th January 2019.

From Today, you can unlock the Bootloader of your Realme 2 Pro device.

Before unlocking the Bootloader read this carefully

• After unlocking the Bootloader you will not get OTA updates
• Personal and Confidential may leak on phone and security compromised.
• Some functions of the phone may not be working and it causes device damage.

Guide for Unlock the Bootloader:

Charged phone with 60% + battery

USB Cable

Mac/Windows PC

Step 1: Backup your all data in PC or in SD Card because unlocking the bootloader of the phone will erase all your data.

Step 2: Update your system to the latest version.

Step 3: First you have to submit an application for Unlocking the Bootloader of Realme 2 Pro

The Application is reviewed by realme staff so it can take approx 1 to 7 days. It depends on your luck like in xiaomi phones it is unlocked immediately or taking 15 or 30 days.

If your phone model and IMEI are approved, you will receive the OTA package that supports the in-depth-test.

Download and install the OTA.

Step 4: Download and install unlock tool apk in your phone.

Open the unlock tool

Click on Start applying

Please read the disclaimer carefully, select checkbox and click on Submit application

The application will be checked by the server

Within 1 to 2 hours, the unlock tool apk show the status of unlocking. If it is successful then follow the next steps

Now click on Start the in-depth-test and press and hold the power key to reboot the device. Now you are in fastboot mode

Now Download and install fastboot tool and ADB drivers in your PC

Extract the zip file and go to extracted folder. Now press Shift and Right click of a mouse. Now select Open Command window here option

Now cmd windows is opened. Enter following commands:

fastboot devices: to check whether the device is connected or not

fastboot flashing unlock: To unlock the Bootloader

Now in your phone screen will look like this

Press volume key to select the options UNLOCK THE BOOTLOADER and DO NOT UNLOCK THE BOOTLOADER and press Power key to confirm.

The phone will reboot. All of your data will be wiped so take the backup before unlocking.
